Nokia has launched 'Treasure Tag' accessory that could be attached to keys, bags or other valuables for easy tracking.

The $30 device works by combining Bluetooth and NFC and pairs with a Lumia Windows Phone and acts as a sensor to locate what it's attached to.

According to The Verge, the supporting app for Windows Phone allows users to manage the sensor and locate it when it's lost apart from displaying the location of the sensor on a map with Nokia's HERE application.

Nokia Treasure Tag also allows users to locate a phone that's paired to the sensor by holding down a key on the device, trigging sound notification on the phone.

The device is said to have a battery life of around six months, and comes with a replaceable battery on the reverse of the Tag.

Nokia said that there would soon be third-party applications for Treasure Tag to support Android and iOS devices.

The report added that the Treasure Tag accessory would begin shipping in April and come in a choice of cyan, yellow, white, and black colours.
