All New HTC One specs ‘confirmed’

Just days ahead of its official launch, hardware specifications and images of HTC's flagship phone, All New HTC One, have leaked online. This time, the source of the leak is not an anonymous tipsters but a certification agency.

According to a device certification database present on the website of Chinese wireless authority, TENAA, HTC's next-generation smartphone will sport a 5-inch 1080p display. Powered by 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, the phone will have 2GB RAM, and will come in 16GB and 32GB internal storage variants. The phone will offer support for external storage via a microSD card slot. The phone will measure 146 x 70.5 x 9.5mm and weigh 157gram as per the agency. It will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

The Chinese authority's website mentions that the All New HTC One will sport a 16MP camera at the back and an UltraPixel camera at the front. Leaked images of the new HTC One revealed two cameras at the back of the phone. It's likely that 16MP is the combined resolution of the two sensors.

The All New HTC One will be available in red, grey, silver and gold colour variants as per TENAA. The phone featured in the images posted on the site, looks similar to previously leaked images, complete with two front speakers and two rear cameras.

Meanwhile, French website NoWhereElse.fr has posted some images of a dummy unit of the All New HTC One. A few pictures compare the dummy with flagship phones like iPhone 5S, Samsung Galaxy S4, Note 3, Sony Xperia Z1 and LG G2.

HTC is expected to release the next-generation One at an event scheduled for March 25. UK based retailer Carphone Warehouse has also announced that it will start selling the phone almost immediately after it is announced in London.
